Harry Clarke: He was an Irish stained-glass artist and book illustrator. Born in Dublin in 1889, he studied stained glass at the Dub lin Metropolitan School of Art and he did a number of great works throughout his life. In 1913, he moved to London for a job as a bo ok illustrator. His first printed work was a title, Hans Christian Andersens Fairy Tales and Stories, with more than his 40 llustra tions.
